Medina Azahara and the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba are two of the most emblematic monuments of the city’s Andalusian past. On the one hand, Medina Azahara was in the tenth century the palatine city of the Caliphate of Córdoba, symbol of its power and splendor. The Mosque-Cathedral, on the other hand, is a monument with a millenary history in which the Muslim and Christian cultures merge.

The tour starts in the morning in Medina Azahara, where you can access with the transfer included from Córdoba, if you select the option during the booking process. In this World Heritage archaeological site, a guide will show you the ancient rooms of a prosperous palatine city, including the Rich Room or the North Gate.

In the afternoon, the visit continues at the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. Important information

• Children must be included in the reservation, as their ticket will be required when entering the monument.
• Be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the tour begins.
• Please note that this product includes TWO guided tours and each tour departs from a different meeting point.
• The departure time varies depending on the booking option chosen. If you choose the option with transport from Cordoba, you must be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the time indicated on the voucher. If, on the other hand, you decide to go to the site by your own means, wait for the guide at the shuttle bus stop and do not go up to the site on your own.
• On certain dates, due to the high demand for this visit and in order not to create overbookings, you are making a request for availability. It is indicated during the payment process. Within a period of less than 72 hours, you will be answered informing you if there are places available or not. If the reservation is made in less than 72 hours from the start of the activity, you will be answered urgently. The amount will be blocked in the reservation request to guarantee that in case of availability there are funds to charge the reservation.

Cancellation Policy

• Up to 48 hours before the visit: 11 euros per person for cancellation or change fees.
• Less than 48 hours before the start of the tour: no changes or cancellations are allowed.
• IMPORTANT: Cancellation charges are effective from the moment the reservation request is made.

Meeting point

• Guided tour of Medina Azahara:
  • If you choose the bus option from Cordoba, you must be at the Paseo de la Victoria bus stop (Glorieta Cruz Roja), in front of the Eurostars Palace Hotel, 10-15 minutes before departure time.
  • If you decide to go by car, you should be at the site a little before the time indicated on the voucher. You will have to leave your vehicle in the Medina Azahara car park and wait next to the shuttle bus stop. Do not go up to the site alone, you will have to wait for the guide to arrive with the rest of the group from Cordoba.
• Guided tour of the Mosque of Córdoba:
  • Departure at 4 pm at the door of the Tourist Information Office of the Congress Palace (C/ Torrijos, 10), next to the benches
